Behind the Ropes:  Wednesday Practice

An inside look at the 2nd Ryder Cup warm-up rounds

OAKLAND HILLS, MICHIGAN SEPTEMBER 15, 2004

It was beautiful day in and around the Oakland Hills course as players, captains, press, and fans prepare for the Friday start of the 35th Ryder Cup matches.  We watched a little golf, enjoyed a moderate feast and scouted out some places to sit during the matches.

 

One mild take: We noticed that one player in particular was really struggling, at least when we were watching.  That's the man to the left blasting out of another trap: Davis Love III.  Let's hope that DL3 works it out by Friday, because the US will need the Ryder Cup veteran in good form.
