We're Number 45,917

SALINE, MICHIGAN  APRIL 4, 2004

Despite near perfect final four, still behind

The Webmaster made a run but couldn't catch the great Brian Bolick in the ARSE group in the ESPN tournament challenge.  That said, webmaster's bracket is at the 98.2 percentile within the ESPN tournament challenge, ranked #45,917 after putting 3 of 4 final fours team in, and correctly picking the teams in the finals.  Bolick's bracket is very impressive: in the 98.7 percentile and ranked #32235.  There's no stopping the two of us; all of the other contestants in the ARSE group are out of teams.  Props to Kathryn Popoff who posted an impressive 91 percentile to finish third.

- This ESPN challenge is soon going to be a live test of the infinity-monkeys-Shakespeare-play theory.  Around 2.5 million people submitted brackets.  One of these days some fool is going to magically correctly pick every game.

- Regarding the games themselves, I really think they need to get rid of a timeout or two.  I swear the second half of games includes more commercials than playing time.

- I'd rather watch the Masters final round than the NCAA Championship or even the Super Bowl.
