I recently visited Pier 1
Imports in Ann Arbor, Michigan (on Carpenter Road).
The tables we wanted were out of stock. I ask the girl
if she would call me when they came in. She said no.
She said I could pay for the tables first and then they would
call me. No, No way. I asked again, and she said they
would not call me when they came in.
I ended up buying the same
tables at the Pier One Imports in Okemos store (the tables I wanted were
in stock). As I was checking out I asked the girl at the
Okemos store if they would call me when an out of stock item
came in. She said sure. Good god.
