This
evening Ron Dooley and partner Steve Shirer (pictured left) locked up
their first TS league title and in doing so have now secured a permanent
home in golf's Valhalla.
Shirer and Dooley needed just 7 points but
they wasted no time by sweeping the first 4 holes for the required 8
points. On the fifth hole, the engraver began to execute his
delicate craft on the champion's trophy. "This is something you
can never take away", said Dooley in a phone interview shortly
afterwards. Indeed it is.
