Dick
Schild shot a 93 (net 67) to claim the Tri-State golf league tournament
championship at Timber Trace GC in Pinckney, Michigan. With Ron
Dooley's regular season
golf title and Kelley Kuehne's and Greg Dooley's TSFL
title, Rick's win ensured that Aficionados
hold all three known Tri-State racks. To put this in context, think
Tiger Woods holding all four majors.
Besides leaving Mr. Snappy and Mr. Toejangles
at home, the key to the win was his decision to leave his pull-over jacket on despite
temperatures in the high 70's. When he shanked 2 shots after removing
the jacket, Rick decided to deal with the heat and put it back on.
Thereafter it was smooth sailing for the newly crowned Champ. Pretty
slick, Rick.
