MULLINS BEACH BARBADOS, WEST INDIES

What a great week we had in Barbados.  The picture above shows the view of the water and the reef from the living room.  Here are other good shots from the week:

- A view of 'Sea Isle' - the house where we stayed.

- A view from atop the Earthworks pottery store.

- Since Sea Isle faces west we usually had a nice sunset.

- A view from the garden outside a large estate .

- Finally, pictured below is the jungle canopy above the outdoor dining area.

One of the great things about visiting Barbados is the people and the culture.

Most Bajans were very friendly.  Here are a few photos of some of those that we met last week:

-  Victor Houston has been eating fire on the island for a few decades, and shows little sign of cooling off.

Here is a guy I pictured outside our house looking for flying fish near the shore.   He has his net in hand, ready to throw.

- We bought 10lbs of fresh tuna from this man, here ready to slice off a chunk for us.

Dorial and Glendine, who work in the house where we stayed, present that evenings' main dish (tuna).

-  Alex, a.k.a. "Bird" and Delia D'Ermo.  They run Legend Condos which is where Jess and I stayed our first 2 nights.  They are seen here joining us for a nice cool drink.
