The Lions Bite
Football squad can't get it working.  Tailgaters subjected to the thin air.

PONTIAC, MI  OCTOBER 21, 2001

The Lions fell to Tennessee on Sunday to become the only NFL team without a win this season.  While the Lions were finding new lows, some of the participants were reaching new heights.  It leads one to ask, When will the Tigers and Lions become contenders again??

The Lions fell to Tennessee on Sunday to become the only NFL team without a win this season.  While the Lions were finding new lows, some of the participants were reaching new heights.

Some ticket holders now know what it is like atop Everest as they were perched in the last row of the Silverdome.  The view was too much for James Stevens, who is not one for the 'heights'.  He spent most of the game in the tunnel that led to the seats.  It is not surprising-- the steep angle of the stairs would make even the saltiest of climbers uneasy.  I guess the demand for the Lions tickets is too great to give the Tri-Staters decent seats.  Hmm.

The game started off with an epic tailgate organized by Rick Schild - seen above tending to the sausages (click to enlarge).
