Brit Woman Rows across the Pond

Husband Bails early on.  Yanks there to welcome her.

PORT ST. CHARLES, BARBADOS, W.I.  JANUARY 25, 2002

We flew to Barbados from Detroit, this Brit took a more difficult route.  Debra Veal of the U.K. became just the 4th woman to row solo across the Atlantic.  

Once her husband bailed out on her just 11 days into the trip, she decided to make the voyage alone.  It took her 111 days to go from the Canary Islands to Barbados.
