It was a day when a team of a ringer,
Brian Lewis, and three hackers (Ron along with Kelley Kuehne and
Greg Dooley) took dead aim at the field and somehow shot a brilliant
11 under par & finished third out of a field of 44 teams.
The key shots:
- Ron's 30 foot chip on #10 that put
us about 7 feet from the pin and set up a birdie.
- Kelley carried the team on the first
few holes, but the big play of the day had to be the bending circus
putt he drained on #17. It's what got us to 11 under.
- Greg contributed strong play but the
finest was the 185 yard approach on #9 that stopped just 6 feet from
the pin.
- Lew bailed the fellers out on
several holes down the stretch. The brew and stogies clearly
took a toll.

Kays and Ron about
to step into one of our luxurious sleds. It
was the first year we had the pleasure of a
covered cart thanks to a small payoff, er..I mean,
donation. |

Beebe laughs it up
afterwards. Even Beebe was
surprised at the Oke-town smackdown we layed upon
the boys from Haslett.. |
Lew (in white above)
was the anchor, hitting several clutch shots when
the 3 of us shanked it. |
