Website Turns One

gregdooley.com reaches landmark milestone.

Long awaited statistics now available.

SALINE, MI February 24 , 2002

One year ago today gd.com was launched onto the worldwide web.  Since then the site has grown to include over 200 unique web pages, hold over 500 images and experience nearly 4,000 hits.

Looking over some of the data provided by the host (XO Communications), I am able to provide the following factoids:

Most traffic on one day:  November 5, 2001.  The site was literally peppered the first business day after the Dooley Bros. Ninth annual tailgate.  The following day was the next highest.   Click here for a  table that shows the Top Ten days of traffic over the past year.

Most visits by day of the weekTallying up the traffic for each day, the results were clear: Monday is the busiest day on average, and the traffic tails off during the week almost in a linear fashion.   See the graph here.

From search engines: The page most visited as the result of a search engine search has to be the blackjack strategy grid.  In fact, any site to do with gambling or Las Vegas, (including the stories on Lew Popoff's and my bachelor parties) get hit a lot.  Other pages that are commonly hit are the pictures in the Web Gallery, especially the pictures of Y.A. Tittle, Normandy, and the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team.

What to look for in 2002-03:

- DBX, also known as the Dooley Brothers Tenth Annual Tailgate from Ann Arbor.

- Possible European vacation (like the Beatles going the other way).

- Pics from Lazy Bones North on Lake Michigan (under construction).

- DALMAC 2002 with some new riders?

- Inside the Pin Pounders

- Defense of TS Golf title Racks

- Guest Columnists
