Ice Storm Peppers Michigan

Power Lines down, many go without.  Cable out as well.

SALINE, MICHIGAN FEBRUARY 2, 2002

Just a few days after returning from Barbados, the Midwest was hit with a severe ice storm.  Many branches and trees are down all over our yard, including a tree that currently rests on our power line (pictured).

 Our power remains intact for now.  I was able to report the downed tree on DTE energy's website.  You can do the same by clicking here.  Most of our pine trees look ok, but some branches are down.  Here is a tree out front that will probably not make it through this.

While our power is ok, our cable is not.  I also reported our outage to comcast.com.

I am sure someone will read my requests and promptly drive out here to take care of us.  Hmm.
